Emmanuel Christian Fellowship

Bombay Revival & Prayer Band (BRPB)

Started 25 years ago- Sister Jaya who was just a housewife – God gave her a vision to reach out the poor and needy. She and her family moved from South India to Mumbai (Bombay).
Since then she has been working along with her husband to help the people and the children in the slum areas.
The orphanage is looking after 60 children who are been abandoned by their parents; some children have been rescued from tragic backgrounds.
The B.R.P.B. is also running a bible school to train people who will be involved in evangelism and missionary work.
Open-air ministry – members of B.R.P.B. conduct open-air meetings and street evangelism.
Community evangelists – to go around houses to spread the gospel message.
Evangelism and Church planting in other parts of Northern India and Nepal.

From the left, Mr Thasaiah, Son in Law Rani, Grand-daughter Rebecca, Dr David Malcolm, Daughter Gabriel and Mrs Thasaiah (Sister Jaya).

They have full time 60 staff members – evangelists, general assistants, schoolteachers, wardens and cooks. They also have full time intercessors. In addition, the BRPB also provides financial support to the families of students attending the Bible School.
They do not get any funding from the Indian government or any assistance, also the government doesn’t have proper national health service to provide medical assistance to the orphanage children, so the BRPB has to look after the children’s health care.
